Yeah, if you are thinking you might be sick that day I would stay away from talking to anyone in planning/scheduling or CP office regarding this time off. I don't know much about scheduling or planning but I would assume they have some way of notating your account if you will (like calling the electric company about a delayed payment). I would be willing to say with most certainty a CP will not grant you this time off as a PL on Thanksgiving Day.
