Skeds arent that bad but the flying down in South America gets old real quick. Pay is avg for the ACMI operators but I will say it is very low for overall 747 opeartors but then again I get $3/hr for per diem and that is continous. (I make more per diem in a month than a Mesa f/o makes on salary.) Plus a $10/hr override for each hour flown. Dont have to worry about a crash pad since all hotels are picked up.
I am not a company cheerleader but TDX is not the best place to work and its not the worst. If you need a place to hang you hat for a while til you move on or get recalled, there are worse places to be.
Thanks, How about getting to and from work. Training? Insurance, is there a group policy? I spent 12yrs at what we lovingly called "the cream of the crap" nonsked and a brief time at a major. Brief enough that it does not scare me to work for another supplemental. Hell, things are changing with the supplemental carriers too, the last time I was hired by one it was over the phone. How about the Asian stuff? Thanks for your help. Trying to get Intel on short notice is a pain.
