Two reasons...1) you will always get the shaft being a wholly-owned as we are now seeing and 2) Comair has a very senior pilot group that will not budge no matter what. If you are looking for a stepping stone airline OH is not it. Just my .02 cents.
Just spoke to forecasting this morning. The displacements are due to a reduction of flight hours yet no loss of additional frames of yet. However the loss of hours for 09 is dramatic to the extent of approximately 50 cvg captains. The JFK displacement is a typo, however may have been put there if a capt from cvg elects to go to jfk as capt rather than cvg FO. The future does look bleak for Comair which is something I have been stating a few years now. This was reiterated by someone else working with the numbers. The high hopes of Mesa fall generating benefits for OH is a far reach. Looks like the investment is going to Mesaba and Compass for now. Good luck everyone.
Hey Diver, did u officially get Mesaba? Congrats if you did.
