You are actually getting aboard at a good time since Mesaba will be getting 15 more CRJ9s hence there will be more hiring for many more months. This means you will probably on reserve for only a short period. How short? Don't know at this point. It depends where you are based out of and which aircraft you are on. If don't have to commute, your life will be pretty good no matter where you are based out of.
Mesaba does have a good commuter policy though.
