Despite your obvious feelings of amour for Penair management, just remember that it only takes a small thing to turn them against you. Do you really like looking over shoulder while doing your job every day? Penair has repeatedly proven over the years that your job is never safe. Even if you are family you could be fired in an instant.
I hate to break it to you, but Ace, Everts, and Era have all ordered and or received new aircraft in the last six months while we have gotten rid of three airplanes. This is an aircraft reduction of 20% and a seat reduction of 13%. Not exactly signs of stable times.
You don't have to vote for union ratification if you don't choose to, but I hope that you give it serious consideration. I have countless friends in ALPA and the Teamsters and every one of them would say that their job is better because of their union membership.
What new airplanes have they received in the last 6 mo. Just curious.
