I think you're missing the point. They're not worried about flying to age 65, they don't oppose that. They oppose their retirement age (meaning full benefit commencement date) being changed to age 65...
Age 65 got let out by ICAO rule changes (in which European governments were big instigators). But it's nice to bash ALPA...
Something that only pilots with defined benefit plans need to understand.
AA, FDX, CAL, and UPS. Maintaining 60 as the normal retirement age allows you to leave at 60 without penalty.
