No I didn't meet a Darin, I don't think, doesn't sound familiar?

For the sim, started me up and had me hold 500' until 110 knots or so and then "rotate" after positive rate, gear up. I flew around to get feel for the aircraft and climbed to 2000'. I then did a 45 degree steep turn to the left 360 degrees and that was that. Then he positioned me somewhere and asked where i was in relation to the VOR. I was southeast on the 120 radial and 12 DME. Then he asked me to intercept and track inbound on the 090 radial. I didn't even intercept it before he repositioned me and had me brief and setup my navs for the ILS 6 into Islip. I then got a vector to the approach and was cleared. I flew it down all along while putting in flaps and gear when I wanted (just as long as they were all in by 1000' AGL) I got to 299' and went missed it was a straight out to 2,600' I believe and then he asked how I would enter the hold. He then asked me to go direct to the LOM on the approach so I turned the ADF card to match the heading I was going and turned to that heading. He then asked me another non-standard hold at the VOR and asked what entry I would use. Then asked me how I would enter a couple different holds on the localizer at the LOM. Then finally asked me a couple different holds at the LOM. I never had to enter a single hold just say what entry I had to use. He asked me about 6 or 7 different ones....
