By the way, newguy is just a polite reference to NFG (google it), a military term for the cherry in the outfit. The combat vets didn't bother to learn their names because odds were they'd be gone soon. Similar to Comair, if the NFG was placed in charge, the whole unit had a good chance of being wiped out... not just the newguy.
