When UPS was starting out as an airline, they ordered a few hundred flight bags for their anticipated new hires. They needed them in a hurry, so they were (so I'm told) ordered with overnight delivery. The next day, when the bags were delivered, they were black, not brown, and they were delivered by Federal Express. Needless to say, they were returned immediately, and new ones, brown this time, were ordered through another vendor. At least that's the story that was going around back then.
