This is the same topic the Union had their undies all in a bunch over. The Company has been publishing this syntax info for as long as I can remember in each monthly bid packet (at least in the 50 seat CA packets that I've been looking at), but apparently not all the packets. When the Union asked the company to add the info to the packets missing the company pulled it from All the packets.

On the one hand, it seems rather petty of the company to act in this manner. But in their defense, if you cut out 2 pages from each bid packet times, what 1200 bid packets??, times 12 bid periods per year you could save 28000 pages+ of paper per year. But then they go and publish, for instance, the JFK bid packet and the back of the first page is totally blank. A completely wasted side. So maybe they are acting out of spite, who knows.

On the other hand, the Union seems to be making a big deal out of nothing. If a pilot needs the info, go to EPIC and look up a bid packet from 2 months ago. Or call Planning and harass them (my favorite MO and what I used to do EVERY month I had vacation, I would call them and ask how many days I could push the vacation start date. They finally added it to the bid packet) Or put that info on the ALPA website. Or post a request on here. It probably doesn't REALLY NEED TO BE published each month in the bid packet.

Or if it does need to be published, have every reserve pilot call the company, play dumb, and ask the same question. Do this every month until they add it back.
