I'm in the final year of my BS in Aviation Science at UVSC. I am a non-traditional student, returning after a 20 year break. The courses I have taken on-line through UVSC over the past three years have been very good, I believe these classes are as good as the courses I took at Georgia Tech and Macon Jr College, 20 years ago. On-line courses can be hard and you have to be very focused. Most of the courses I have taken can usually be finished in half the semester, but you have to spend 1-2 hours a day during the week and 8-10 hours a day on the weekend, working on your studies. All courses are self paced, so if you start on day one or week 14, it doesn't matter (on most courses), the only requirement is that they are completed in the 15 week semester (10 week during the summer). I work full time, 40+ hour a week, take 9-12 hours of classes per semester and have maintained a 3.7+ GPA the entire time. So as I said before, it is a very good school, with good quality classes and instructors, but you have to be able to focus and keep yourself on track. If you need any other course specific information, you can find it at www.uvsc.edu and www.aviationuniversity.com (the aviation distance learning side of UVSC).
