Thats the minimum perferred hours. Below the preferred hours are accepted with the approval of the company's chief pilot per the application at Mesaba.com. Only 2 things can happen, and thats them saying no, but I tried, or they say yes and I get lucky. It doesn't hurt to start early in my opinion. It will be a learning experiance.
