I'm well aware of the friction and ill will between UAL management and the line pilots so I was
shocked to read the Captain's de-briefing when it was posted.
He had nothing but good things to say about the support they received from management throughout the entire ordeal. From the time that they were first stuck in the hotel until they actually departed, they all said the support and assistance they received from management was incredible. Another aircraft was flown in to a Thai military base as "caflyer" said and their entire crew along with a Northwest crew, was safely flown out.
