Default United Bangkok crew

I know that United pilots aren't suppposed to post on the internet, socialize with each other, or use swear words, but I was wondering what happened to United's Bangkok crew. Everything work out OK?

Yes it did work out fine.

An airplane flew to a Thai Air Force base and picked them up. I think that a Northwest crew may have been given a ride out as well.

Thumbs up Great Support from UAL

I'm well aware of the friction and ill will between UAL management and the line pilots so I was shocked to read the Captain's de-briefing when it was posted.

He had nothing but good things to say about the support they received from management throughout the entire ordeal. From the time that they were first stuck in the hotel until they actually departed, they all said the support and assistance they received from management was incredible. Another aircraft was flown in to a Thai military base as "caflyer" said and their entire crew along with a Northwest crew, was safely flown out.

Miracles never cease......

Thumbs up

One would hope (as is apparently true here) that at some point the "this is business" model would be superceded by the "there is no question that this is the right thing to do" model.

Good to hear they got out... I spent a few years with a US freight Company flying to BOM and BKK... Hope the NWA crew didnt run into any problems there either.
