Depends on how your benefits and pay are figured out...

At my company if we stay overnight, the company provides hotel rooms, a rental car for the crew, and meals. There is no per diem, but all of our expenses are paid. (Generally works out to about $125/night for hotel x 2 crew, 40/day for car, and about $50-75/person for food.)

We don't get paid any more for overnight trips (but we are salaried, so get paid whether flying for not (more often, we're not.)
