OMG! The press didn't do its homework about an airline related story. Well, that's certainly a first.
If they had, they would have discovered that a "major airline" is defined in the US as: "an air carrier that has an annual operating revenue of more than one billion dollars."
Jet Blue qualifies. As do many of the actual so-called "regionals".
Clearly, being a "major airline" ain't what it used to be. (Nor, I suppose, is a billion dollars.)
