North America is a region!

And when they add BOG,

The Western Hemisphere is a region!

I don't think you can be classified as an international carrier until AA says you can jumpseat international (5 countries didn't count at my last job). But yet the MLB "World" Series in only between Canada and the US, and the NFL calls themselves "World Champions" if they win it all, hummmm.

Know that's funny! Guess all of our "regional transcons" & Bogota/Caribbean "regional" flying don't count We're hardly the size of AA so I guess we'll never be on their intl list! Ever counted how many intl destinations WN serves???

OMG! The press didn't do its homework about an airline related story. Well, that's certainly a first.

If they had, they would have discovered that a "major airline" is defined in the US as: "an air carrier that has an annual operating revenue of more than one billion dollars."

Jet Blue qualifies. As do many of the actual so-called "regionals".

Clearly, being a "major airline" ain't what it used to be. (Nor, I suppose, is a billion dollars.)
