Default Airline Life

OK, I am no airline pilot. Not pretending to be one.

That said, I have not talked to any happy 121 pilots in person lately. The last one I talked to in detail had just quit a CRJ job and went to a Citation job---FOR THE TIME OFF!!! I had lunch with he and a retired major pilot. The contrast between the retired pilot's and the recent pilot's work environment and lifestyle was something.

I think many recent hire airline pilots are indeed disgruntled, and feel obligated to share the facts with people considering a flying career.
Flying at .7 is fun, but may not be enough if people are pondering the increasingly difficult "American Dream".

Flying is great, dont neglect the business facts of the job. If you proceed, best of luck to you and enjoy. LIKE YOU SAID, TAKE THE Good with the BAD.
