Here's something that's floated around for a while. There might be a "merger" with Mesaba, in which that'll be the name retained. And with Mesaba just because their operating costs are lower than Comair's. Now, with it does happen, would that nulify the Comair contract?. If so, then it makes sense. If it doesn't, then what's the point?.
Personally with either scenario, I don't forsee a recall for those of us furlough for quite sometime. Time to move on.
we actually sat around the othe night, since it was dead and talked about all the scenarios that could play out. Our best conclusion was that we are headed for a merger with Compass. I mean as long as we've been a Delta subsidiary, no president has come from being president of another wholly owned regional. They've either come from DCI or from within. Compass is pretty much just a shell of an airline with little or no office support and a small management team. Very little mx and no customer service. Like I said before, when Ng4 was here talking with us in the SOCC he commented that there was a lot of space to expand and commented that there were several floors of the GO that were pretty much empty. The 175's would fit perfectly in our route system out of JFK and BOS. Ng4 would remain the president of the merger company since he has operating experience and knowledge of both companies.
