As one who paid into this fund last time and eventually had to use it and may have to use it again, I truly appreciate the fund. The problem is, the last time, with 2172 guys and gals out, we NEVER reached the 1% cap. To START with this huge bankroll is just not right. They should collect the amount they NEED, not beef up their bank account. I am asking the MEC for a full accounting....and a refund to the pilots of excess monies collected. I ahve no problem with the concept, only the **** poor administration.
