To play devil's advocate to the two above posts:

Sure, don't post it, however what happens when they look at your 10 year history a little closer and find out you omitted an employer? Perhaps a longshot, but what if?

There was a guy in the class ahead of me that embellished his resume and got busted about 4 weeks into training. I don't know the reasons, I don't care to know. All I know is that he was asked to leave. He then proceeded to post a couple panicked messages here and be called out by fellow classmates.

So you have two approaches to take. Put it on the application, be prepared to discuss the reasons. Use the youthful mistake thing, and quite frankly, if you did what you say you did, you broke no law and showed good judgment in electing to not steal the item.

Or lie, and hope it is never found out and be prepared for the consequences if it is.

Personally, I'd rather be honest.
