I'm not sure how it made the WSJ, but have seen references to it all over the web. Sensational stuff travels fast. Probably this page will show up in a google search on the subject at some point.
Kind of interesting though, seems a somewhat logical way for the Prof. to gain notoriety while dredging up old Soviet style nostalgia and anti U.S. sentiment at the same time.
Also interesting to think about how much, or little people overseas know about our country.
An implausible, yet somewhat logical extension perhaps if all they've seen the last few years is talk of "Red" and "Blue" States, Conservatives versus Liberals, and ethnic and social "unrest"?
Also seems some worldwide sentiment that the U.S. caused the current economic problems facing the globe.
