H-H-H-Here's a sad example of the 2009 3825-Us P-P-P-Plan:
November 30, 2008 marked the six (6) month period for the Perfect Attendance Program. In order to be qualified for the program, a Flight Attendant must maintain a reliability record that is free from any sick occurrences, unexcused absences or late arrivals for the designated periods of time. Flight Attendants who are on any type of leave of absence (outside of FML) beyond 30 days will not be eligible.
Six (6) Months:
Certificate of Recognition
Entered into a drawing for various prizes
Nine (9) Months:
Certificate of Recognition
Entered into a drawing for various prizes
Invitation to recognition lunch with Inflight Leadership
Twelve (12) Months:
Certificate of Recognition
Entered into a drawing for various prizes
Invitation to recognition lunch with Inflight Leadership
Three days off with pay
- Days must be requested at least 7 days in advance
- Days must be approved based on operational needs
- Days may be taken consecutively or separately
Here's the kicker:
If you believe that you have met the qualifications for 6, 9 or 12 months of perfect attendance, please complete the attached form and submit it to your supervisor or the Inflight Employee Services Coordinator to ensure that you receive your certificate and that your name is added to the drawing. Drawings will be held quarterly and will include separate drawings for each step.
Thank you for your continued service and dedication to our customers. --

So, in order to get recognized by the company, you need to fill out a form to let the company know that you deserve recognition. This just goes to show that morale problems aren't only affecting the rank and file - Management doesn't really care whether employees get recognized. They're just trying to avoid having to review everyones attendance records. Every FA should fill out the stupid form whether they think they're eligible or not, just to make Management do their jobs.
