Just curious, does anyone else here reade PPrune? This kind of crap (the so-called Self-Sponsored Type Rating) is common place for just about every airline in Europe except the global-type majors (BA, LH, VS, etc...).
Our brush with PFT in the 90s here is nothing compared to the disaster over there; guys flying regional-type equipment basically CAN'T get jobs flying medium narrowbodies with the LCC-type carriers because of all the pud-knockers with 300 hours lining up to give type-rating schools their money. (Unless, of course, they want to also give the schools their money; the magical 1000 hours of E145 PIC is worthless in the face of all that money). To the OP, your commercial plus 200 hours in a freakin Diamond does NOT make you ready to be a useful crewmember in a narrowbody jet, no matter what they told you at CAPT.
