I just asked about this during my last PC and apparently asked to late. All it is at my company is getting the director of training to approve it and if the Captain adminstering your PC doesnt mind and you clear it with him they will make it happen.
You are going for an additional rating, the guy doing (OR observing) your PC has to have the authority to issue one.
If EVERY sim instructor at your employer is authorized, not a big deal. If the number is limited, it might be tough to get done.
