So here's the head scratcher. I'm getting furloughed next week. Have 5.5 years of service. Have a SLIGHT possibility of getting a high paying/good benefits/solid retirement job locally, but that requires giving up 100+g's in flight training.

If I take the furlough, then I get good flight benefits until recall (which I'd either say no or take the recall, depending on the status of this other job). If I take the package, I automatically get sub-standard flight benefits for 5 years.

Hmmm, what to do.....
