The same way that you decide who the "they" are that are calling it CFIT TBone. An airplane hit the ground and the guy didn't (try to) eject. I can see how it is being discussed as CFIT. Btw - CFIT wouldn't be the "cause" - it would be the result. Something else *caused* the mishap.
