Q Can a person draw UI if they are fired?

Q1 ANS No, unless said person quit for a very good reason. Generally, the answer is no, even if you have a good reason.

Q2 ANS Possibly. You stand a much better chance at getting UI if you were fired, but they will want to know the circumstances, with the facts weighted most favorably to the petioner for UI. So don't give the employer ammo to cause you to be denied UI.
