The media will extract more ratings generating sympathy by showing the plight of blue collar workers. Relatively speaking, the public would sympathize little, if any, for the aforementioned pilot.
That said, I don't find fault with the 60 Minutes broadcast not interviewing any pilots. After all, 10,000 jobs are going to be lost in a town of 12000.

My sincere apologies. I didn't mean to come across as unsympathetic to ABX/Astar pilots. My comments were strictly on the media. I know that it could just as easily happen to me.
