I know you were referring to someone else but this is the wrong way to think. NEVER EVER take a paycut to save a job. You will NEVER get it back and it makes life miserable for everyone. Including the peoples jobs you try to save. It is better to be on the street for a bit and to come back to a good contract then work under a piece of crap one with low wages. It will put more gray hair on your head then staying home watching the price is right everyday.
I want to come back to a good contract. Not one that was gutted to save a few and will more then likely never return to status quo.
Trust me I have been there. UPS is one of the last good 121 jobs in the world. Don't F with it.
