Just moved into a crash pad a few weeks back. So far it looks like almost everyone in it bid and got awarded either SDF or ANC.

Also, one of the ONT captains might be opening up a crash pad for 3-4 pilots, he called me a few days ago and I might move in there if I can find a cheap crash pad car.

Frankly I was surprised to see that you decided to stay in ONT? I thought you’d moved back to Rockford? If so, wouldn't 75/SDF or SDFZ make more sense for you?

I thought he was already over 60?

I'm pretty sure he'll be here until 65 - remember he lost lots of money when he broke his back (I hope I got it right?) and ended up being out on a medical leave for several years; I think he hadn't signed up for the mutual aid so the ordeal almost bankrupted him.
I like Stilly and woudn't mind seeing him around here for a while longer...

Interesting logic, while I like Stilly too I find it interesting that you feel it is OK to stay past 60 if "you" like them. Double standard perhaps?

Well, what I meant (and I've said it here before) is that it's pointless to be upset over stuff we can't change.

We, the junior pilots were sold out but that's all history now; there's nothing we can do about it. So IF any of the over 60 guys/gals decide to stay I'd rather see folks such as Stilly to do it, that's all.

How much are you paying for the crashpad?
Well, I kind of screwed up thinking I was stuck in ONT but I also don't want to go to SDF unless I am 100% for sure going to be on reserve for years to come. I'd rather be in ONT regardless of living in the Midwest. I liked the flying better and I used to have much better seniority in ONT. If I would have gotten SDF on this bid, I would still be unsure. Maybe there will be another bid this year.....I might see where is sit after this displacement.

Well, the reason I will give him a bunch of crap is because of a conversation I had with him about staying past 60. He didn't seem too keen on it at the time so that's why I say if I see him here after he turns 60, I'm gonna give him crap. I like Stilly too but I don't like anyone over 60 enough to want them to stay around.....LOL! As a matter of fact, I want everyone to retire at 55!

SDF is definitely the place for you.
You'll be able to hold reserve. Trust me.

Uh, what I meant was, you won't be on reserve.

Yeah, you can trust me on that.

No, really!
