Granted I know very little about airlines outside the US (other than the hotties i see lined up behind every Saudi, Luftansa, Emirates etc, pilot) but if youre looking for a "distinguished" airliner....stay overseas! I really think the only thing holding US pilots back from making more money and having a better quality of life is that they are not willing to move. That means they are pretty much stuck with airlines here....where the quality of life, pay, hotties, and respect is circling the drain.
