Anyone have any input on this....
Investors don't care what pilots or employees think...the fact is PT has squeezed record performance numbers out of a pilot group that's operating on 2004 wages...investors would laugh at a vote like that...and you're assuming the pilot group would all vote "no confidence."
We already vote "keep Phil" with our perf. numbers...which is one of many reasons why the company has zero incentive to sign anything. I for one am sick and tired of watching captain after captain use their cell phone to keep the ball rolling with dispatch/mx, doing the company favors taking out planes with ambiguously worded (and sometimes obvious) mel's that they could easily reject/refuse/delay, and in general being way more concerned with the length of their overnight and not having to fuss around with ops/send delay reports than they are with a contract. I'd say at least 90% of the CAs I fly with whine and complain about how messed up the company/dispatch/lack of a contract is, but the same 90% use their cellphones and religiously take out airplanes they could refuse...
It's put up or shut up...and no one puts up here, so it's left to the union/NMB to actually do something about it...at least no one can say we're doing anything in bad faith, since there is almost nil work slowdown mentality anywhere I've seen...
