Does anyone have experience with polarized sunglasses in the cockpit? I have heard that since some of the instrument faces are polarized, pilots should avoid polarized sunglasses. Is there any truth to this? Up until now, I have avoided polarized sunglasses, but it seems that more and more sunglasses are becoming polarized lately. If anyone has any input for or against polarized glasses, I would love to hear about them. I fly in an Embraer jet if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.
Polarized shades are pretty much no bueno in any airplane. Expensive airplanes tend to have polarized windshields, in addition to some display faces being polarized.
