My reason for getting nasty is they really should vet their stories a little better before posting them. Yes, news from a former NTSB guy is news. However, it doesn't mean you have to run it. Especially when the person has personal motivation for spreading falsehoods.
True, but if the aviation sites DIDN'T run this story then there wouldn't be awareness in the aviation community about it which allows us to raise other people's awareness about how much of an idiot this guy is. I'd rather know about this now than suddenly hear about it when he decides to make a case of it.
