I guess he was asking them about his release date in reference to the early out program that he is taking part in and they told him it would be contingent on staffing levels that are definitely going to be changing with the new displacement bid. From what he said, the company doesn't see a need to have 70% of the pilot group based in CVG when the majority of the flying is in the NE. He said they also told him that it was 50 flying and not 700/900. So I guess so far JB is still speaking truth and not blowing smoke.
How bad/good is this new displacement going to be? I have been looking at some of our flight loads and they aren't pretty. Maybe it's just me, but how can a company make money when your flying mostly empty A/C around? I expect more bad news, read somewhere in just this country alone, 18,000 jobs are lost daily. I see a storm coming.
One more thing, with this mesa stuff, does anyone think that a settlement is more likely than a win? It's taking a while for the court to decide this.
