Have any of you actually received the WIA grant? I tried to get it in Florida and when I went to the workshop that you are required to go to in order to start the process, they pretty much laughed in my face and said that they do not provide money for those sort of things. They did provide money for nursing, truck driving, construction schools, etc. I feel like this is just another rumor. Unless of course another state does actually fund for a type rating. Now if you get accepted for the WIA grant it is like unemployment. You have to show for certain period of time that you are actively seeking work with your new degree.
