The State of Hawaii has a program for former Aloha pilots to get type ratings. They'll pay up to $19k towards the rating itself, then they'll reimburse you up to $1500 towards hotel during training and up to $1200 for airfare.
The caveats are:
1) You must be furloughed from Aloha - doesn't matter if you didn't live in Hawaii or you're collecting unemployment in another state.
2) You must have a bona fide job offer requiring the particular rating. You will be required to give them the original hire letter and also your first paystub showing your employment following your training.
3) You cannot have used other funding towards a type rating, i.e. some guys got full 737 types through the City of Honolulu, and are ineligible for this program.
