Background so I was told. Louis Smith founded FAPA which was the predecessor to Air Inc. Smith later brought in Darby and at a point sold FAPA to Darby. Smith, after the period of a no-compete, founded Fltops. Both are good sources of information on what is going on in the aviation communities.
Both Smith and Darby are now retired airline.. Smith via Hughes Airwest-Republic-Northwest and Darby United.
Smith didn't sell to Darby, Darby left FAPA because of differences and started AIR,Inc out of his garage in early 90's. Smith's FAPA went out-of-biz in late 90's, Darby bought assets. Smith started FltOps.com, then bought Darby's assets this month when AIR,inc shut down. Full circle?
