Does anyone subscribe to FltOps.com or AIR Inc.? I've used AIR Inc in the past and liked it, but have never used FltOps.com and am wondering which one is better? ALPA is giving a free subscription to either one, but not both, for furloughed pilots and I'm having a hard time deciding since I don't know much about FltOps.com. Any advice or opinions about these two resources would be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. I've used AIR Inc's Airline Pilot Job monthly and also liked it. I was hoping someone would chime in about FltOps.com as well. If anyone has used FltOps.com please tell me what you think of it. Thanks!

Background so I was told. Louis Smith founded FAPA which was the predecessor to Air Inc. Smith later brought in Darby and at a point sold FAPA to Darby. Smith, after the period of a no-compete, founded Fltops. Both are good sources of information on what is going on in the aviation communities.
Both Smith and Darby are now retired airline.. Smith via Hughes Airwest-Republic-Northwest and Darby United.

I don't have any experience with either one but a question comes to mind:
Can Air inc be unbiased as far as reporting on pilot hiring and jobs when they are the ones doing the reporting on hiring stats in the first place?
I know that what I just said is a little confusing, but does anyone know what I'm getting at here?
Comments please.

I might add it seems to me they are both in the same business, selling reliable and credible information. They sit between the source (the airlines) and the end user (the pilot). If they lose their credibility at either end, they implode.
And as for being biased, you talk to the airlines and various aviation companies and they tell you what they are doing. Verify with others and print it. Where is the conspiracy?

Both are pretty good about reporting hiring information. Both call every airline each month for status updates. Problem is that the hiring information can change very quickly, making their information outdated.
Since you already know about Air Inc why not try Fltops? If you know others who subscribe to Air Inc you can always compare and share...

You're right, that does make the decision easy! I'm kind of shocked that Air Inc. went out of business. Considering the status of the airline industry, I suppose I shouldn't be. Thanks for the update!
