this is the best comair is going to do right now..delta isn't going to say "ok comair you can have all your stuff back from 2005"

Good point!.
Regardless of whether a new base is opened or not, the fact remains the shift is happenning, and most likely there will be some sort of "increase' from the actual flying.
I just hope the get better/bigger office space in JFK.....
....and more couches!.
