What happens when August comes around, and Comair block hour capacity is once again reduced for the winter months?
I'm my opinion it's hard to commit my life to a company that is quick to drop pilots at the drop of a hat. Their reputation has already been established for this precedent.
Then again, there are no specific plans to recall anyone in the near future.
Thoughts?
Some possible reasons...
Kill a couple weeks in retraining and the sim, then get enough flight time to be considered "current" again for job hunting maybe?
Or, come back to be "displaced" to JFK and let Comair eat the cost of selling your place in CVG and moving you someplace with better job prospects? As I read the contract, if you live in Knoxville (for example)you can have Comair pay your relocation to, say, Baltimore because that's "closer" to your new domicile (JFK).
