Since your talking about respect. Here's a question, how do you think the passengers on a revenue flight would feel if they knew the FO on their flight paid to sit up front? Apparently the right to fly a passenger aircraft now involves paying a large sum. I'm not sure about you but I think the average person respects someone who earns/works hard for a job, not pays for it.
