So, I was laid off for the second time in only a few months yesterday, and both jobs were in aviation. One was an airline and my latest job was in 135. I'm not down on myself nor mad because thankfully I'm familiar and aware of the state of things right now economics-wise. The thing is, I live in the Houston area, just got a new place and tied into a lease contract so breaking that really isn't an option since these days it seems credit is so important to maintain. I really don't want to leave the industry for any amount of time, but if it's a "gotta do what I gotta do" moment then so be it. Any suggestions, or any knowledge of the industry around the Houston area that is hiring that I won't find on Careerbuiler or Monster would be much appreciated. Unfortunately, many of the business cards I have acquired from various companies are now laying off aswell so that went out the window. Thanks in advance guys!
