I'm sure that you are correct regarding the
advertised minimums in 1977. Another poster quoted the 1998 minimums at 350 hours TT. But the amount required for a
realistic chance at a job with major airline was then, and is now, far greater. See the thread: "The type of Airline Pilots we have become".
