Hmmm, im curious, if I worked at G7 id get kicked off a jumpseat, so mabye since I worked for 3M, and you have power here I'm gonna get booted from APC....lets see mabye if we (pilots) are really good, we can completely destroy each other and the industry by continually fighting amongst ourselves. I really cant wait to see what weve become in the next 2 years...insert sarcasm here

The only thing that will get you "booted" from APC is not following a very clear set of Terms of Service that you agreed to when you signed up; not who you fly for and what you did or did not do to get your job. It looks like the rest of the industry will police itself in that matter.

Yes, I am aware of that, I was trying to make a point using sarcasm, thought I made that clear. Frankly, I'm suprised we all dont have ulcers, my God I almost would think that everyone of us has High Blood pressure, if it weren't for the fact we all have medicals....sigh

Default I don't know about that

I don't know if it's legal or not if it was at a 121 operator. Their ops specs state exactly who the PIC is, the person who signed the release, and you're operating under those specs. At the bottom of logbooks it usally says "I state the above is true and correct". Logging PIC time when you weren't PIC isn't true and correct. You can be held accountable for what's in your logbooks. I know of a man that spent 3 months in jail because of what was in it. The FAA was already out to get him because he had made a fool of them in the past once so when they took him to court the second time they used his logbook as evidence against him.

I think most employers would look at that as someone trying to cut corners and wouldn't want that type of person as a pilot.
It is difficult to say what a future employer will or will not accept. Often times it is the employer who is looking to embellish the applicants flight experience so that the new hire will get past the insurance requirements.

Anything is possible. Over my entire career I only had to show my logbooks once in an interview and they really did not look all that close and never even asked me any questions about them.

"Hmmm, im curious, if I worked at G7 id get kicked off a jumpseat...."

Personally, I wouldn't kick you or anyone else off my jumpseat (execpt maybe a scab). I'd welcome a Gulfstream pilot for ride as I'd expect a Gulfstream pilot to give a ride to a UPS pilot. If you're on the list, you get to ride. It's wrong to play politics and push a personal agenda with the jumpseat. You hear a lot of bravado at the regional forums about not giving rides, but I think it's mostly a vocal vast minority talking big at an anonymous airline pilot chat board. Pay it no mind....

That said, I still have a big problem with Gulfstream style PFJ as a way to enter this biz. It hurts the profession. At another thread, you say you have a year to go to ATP mins. Perhaps you'll change your tune as you gain experience and speak with other pilots. You can trust that my tune was set in stone years ago when I saw the first "become an airline pilot here" Gulfstream ad in Flying magazine. Trust me, I was well above ATP mins when the first Gulfstream ad came out and, as such, understand the harm.

The best thing we got going for us is the Gulfstream scheme hasn't caught on outside a small regional mostly flying 1900's. I've always been worried that it might catch on and UPS will give 757 F/O training and 250 hours in the seat to anyone with 100K. Wouldn't that be cool?
