I guess I am used to the "call good, letter bad" mentality, that is why I ask. I know 1 guy already got hired into tuesday's class because there was one opening. When they asked me when I would be available, I said that I would be available ASAP but would like at least 1-2 weeks notice to give my present boss. I don't want to burn any bridges. I hope that wasn't a mistake to say
Whether you took the class the following week or not WILL NOT affect whether or not you are hired. They're are some people who are out of work that could start yesterday, Some don't care about two weeks notice and some people like to get there life in order and want as much time as possible. Our previous HR group got so far behind that they were interviewing on Wednesday and Thursday for class the following Monday and we could fill classes of 20. Not the approved method but you do what you have to do. Ms. H has here stuff in order and generally we give at least 2 weeks and try for much longer, This was a last minute addition where we were caught of guard needing two additional bodies.
Calls and letters will not go out until next week when HR (interviewers) and Training Deptartment (sim eval.) get together to go over data. Calls do happen BUTit is possible to get a letter stating you are placed in the hiring pool and how to update via e-mail. AND THERE'S THE OTHER LETTER.
