Hey GDLBEN:
Best rule of thumb is to ALWAYS be honest.. Airlines today hire just as much on personality as they do on experience.. They will know your time and background when you walk in for the interview; what is unknown is you.. Yes the ten year check will always exist, and you will simply have to say 10 years ago, I was in 7th grade.. Regarding your Walgreens issue, turn it around. Yes I was "let go" but it was because I was studying in college refused to comprimise my grades for a part time job.. If you tackle any negitives head- on and honestly, they tend to go by the way-side assuming they are minor, and this is.. If you say nothing, and they surface later, the company will wonder what else you have "omitted"... One of the major fauxs that pilots commit is to ONLY talk about flying backgrounds, and not give any insight into themselves..

Hope it helps, and if you have specific questions, PM me.. I have been in recruitment, and have also taught interview techniques for pilots leaving the military.. I am happy to help..

(PS I never taught speeling and grammar)

Cheers,
EKBC
