It sounds weird now, but if you remember why it's set up that way, you'll appreciate the difference.
The '93 contract gave us actual reserve rules, the 98 contract enhanced reserve to make it more attractive to someone who lives in domicile, but seniority-wise could hold a line. The intent is to make reserve a "good deal" so a domicile livin' guy like me would bid it, freeing up a line for a commuting pilot.
