UPS open time p/u question

My line value is 65 hours and I am protected at the normal 75 hours for pay. My question is if I pick up a trip on a day off is it paid above the 75 hours or is it added to the 65 hours and only pays extra once I am at or above the 75hr credit?

Sorry if this is a simple one, but this area of contract does not make sense to me...

So, if your on reserve and fly 5 hours you get paid for 75. If you fly on a day off it's above and beyond 75hrs? wierd..

It sounds weird now, but if you remember why it's set up that way, you'll appreciate the difference.

The '93 contract gave us actual reserve rules, the 98 contract enhanced reserve to make it more attractive to someone who lives in domicile, but seniority-wise could hold a line. The intent is to make reserve a "good deal" so a domicile livin' guy like me would bid it, freeing up a line for a commuting pilot.
